Sweet Thing

Aren't I the best blogger in the world? False...

I went to New York in May with a friend for her birthday it was quite the experience. I compared it to Chicago but some places that we visited just weren't comparable. We went to Times Square, The World Trade Center Memorial, Soho, Central Park, just to name a few and attended the Wendy Williams show. There was definitely more to see but I had a fantastic time and would go there again. I'm totally in love with their subway system; go figure. I had some issues here and there but what place doesn't? Here are some shots just to capture the trip as well as some outfits, Enjoy!

Diarrhea since Easters

How was everyone's Easter? I hope your bellies were full and you enjoyed the company of family and friends! My aunts birthday was the next day so we had Mississippi Mud pie and wished her a Happy Birthday then. Aside from that, I'm going to NEW YORK in May!!!! I'm soooooooooooooooo excited, I've never been there, the flight will be enough excitement for me to be honest. I don't really know what to expect so I'm just along for the ride really. I'll be going with one of my good friends for her birthday so her mom has the whole trip planned....expect a ton of pictures! I am obsessed with this skirt, I was called a Grandma and that I'm going to church but it's cool, I love it!

Skirt w/ belt, Necklace, Jacket are thrifted. Shoes are from Gap, Bandeau is from Love Culture, and the tank is from H&M.

Red-lipping

So my mother and I picked up a few things from the thrift store and among those items was a red lipstick. I was a little apprehensive as she picked it up. I tend to stray away from bright color lipsticks since I have fuller lips. My mom tried it on and it looked really good on her so I tried it and this is the result! I actually like it, I wore it to work and got some nice compliments. I was gonna try a nude lipstick but red may make its way in.

Creepers are from Topshop. Lee high wasted jeans are thrifted as well as the shirt. I've been really lucky at the thrift store lately. Yay me! I might need to get them tailored at the bottom to get the skinny leg effect but for now I enjoy them as is.

Snowpocalypse

Everything uneventful is happening right now...Ha! I went thrift shopping yesterday and found some pretty awesome items. I haven't been in so long and whenever I went, I went with a list. I find that when you go with an open mind, you find a lot more stuff...I think that's a given but I'm reminded that every time. So I got the green pants from work, I was so happy they fit, they're the slim cropped fit. Then the rest is all from the thrift store. The denim pants I want to cut into shorts, they're high waisted and super distressed; love! And then the far right pants are mom pants. I can't wait to wear them! I have to find some inspiration and get back to blogging, maybe. I've taken a bit of a break from blogging because I have to figure out what I'm doing in my life. Everything has been confusing as of late so I need some direction, looking at clothes is a bit lower on the list. So I'll update when I can of course.

Me and some friends are planning on going to Vegas in about 3 months so I'm trying to get swole, burning fat, getting healthy the works. So I'm saving up for that and a Macbook pro because this laptop that I currently have is on the fritz. Pray that I make it!

Also today we had a bit of an snow storm and I took pictures because it was lovely scenery. I hope you all are at peace and living well!

Cool stuff for a cool kid

I'm finally getting around to going back to school, which is a weird space. Nevertheless it has to be done. 2013 has been treating me well, I have things I want to accomplish and if I say I'm going to do it then I will so watch out. I got a VCR for Christmas since I bought a few Disney movies last year. The feels are most certainly overwhelming, I love it though. I've watch Emperors new groove at least 5 times! Haha, anyway I took this picture on Monday, just a little snap before work and I bought the other items today; I can't wait to draw in that book. I want to build on my drawing skills among my many other talents :)

2013

Some people have a negative outlook on New Years. Some wonder why should one wait until the first of the month to make goals when you should've started before then. Or that it doesn't matter, it's just another day. Well, as much as I agree with those I still have a more positive take on it. Yes, its just the beginning of  a new year, I want to take advantage of it, like a reevaluation of my life. It always seems to come at the right time. So the things I want to do won't be drastic, I obviously can't change my lifestyle or situation from 2 days ago but baby steps get you so much further than strides. In regards to this blog, I'm not sure where it's going to take me, I'm not taking it too seriously, I mean it is what it is.

So, on New Years Eve, family and friends came over and we ate and drank and laughed. The usual, I definitely had fun.
I promise I wasn't drinking at this point. I just hate taking pictures some times.
The dress is from H&M and the vest is from the thrift store.

I made like 3 outfit changes. I took this off and put on something more comfortable then changed again when  my sister changed again.

Yeah, that's us for the most part.

Hope you all had a great new years, I hope each day is greater than the last.
