Her Campus for Illinois State

I was given the opportunity to write for Hercampus.com, so I sent in an application and got accepted! I don't get paid for it but it gives me a chance to improve my writing plus I like  fashion which I'm writing about. The site re-launched on Monday and I've gotten really good feedback from my articles. Super excited! Anyway I bought this shirt which was a hassle but I'm happy with the result.

I've been busy with school of course, but I'm trying my hardest to take pictures of my outfits. Which proves to be quite difficult because my roommate is always busy. Anyway, day to day effort!

The town of Normal

Gahhhh, what a neglectful blogger I have been! I am back at school and trying to get settled into my classes. Today was my first day of classes and I am feeling a little iffy about a few of them. I'll see. A few pictures of my outfit and then I'm off to bed, this year is starting off kicking and I am really looking forward to it!

Marchesa

I have been busy getting things ready for school and this week is going to be hectic but I'm going to stay on top of things. Ahh, Marchesa! I was and still am obsessed with this line, the designers infuse both Indian and Grecian influences into their dresses. I love mythology, Greek to be exact so when I discovered this line 2 years ago I stayed on it. I'm into dresses that basically make me feel like a goddess. Long, free flowing, it's empowering in a way. That was around Prom and I really wanted a dress like that, come to think of it it was very similar to their designs.

Out of town

I went out of town for a family wedding which was nice. I haven't seen my grandmas side of the family in awhile so it was really awesome to see everyone. This is what I wore to the wedding. I got this dress from the thrift store, it was originally from Forever 21. Still with the tags, it was ripped on the inside but I got a alot of compliments on it. I loved my nail polish, it was OPI but it went oh so well with those blue flowers.

Thrifted dress, F21 heels

I thought these were cute, they were cake balls on a stick. I don't know how to describe them, simple yet delicious.
What a stressful weekend it was, I'm finally home and in desperate need of sleep. True Blood first then sleep.

My unreachable wish list for Fall

 Urban Outfitters

I haven't shopped nearly as much as I wanted to this summer not even at the thrift store. I'm planning on getting a job when I go back to school to support my over budding wish list.  One item I am absolutely needing are ankle boots, I have never liked UGGS and those are all I see on campus. Sure I was like most, I bought knock-offs which was a terrible idea because they lasted for one winter and tore a part. So I have been on the hunt for the perfect black or camel color ankle boots along with some vintage granny ankle boots, preferably from Ebay. I want a pair of Doc Martens oh so badly, I will probably buy those for myself for Christmas or something.

I'm all about trousers this year, so jeans and some skinny jeans aren't going to be too prominent in my wardrobe; except black skinny jeans. I will definitely be wearing my high waisted shorts, probably paired with stockings and boots. It's probably one of my favorite looks.

I want a new bag and so I usually go all black with everything. This bag doesn't exactly go with my color scheme but I absolutely love the color, it just pops!

So far, I think that's it...for now. I'll update as I see things that I want, haha.

Hope you have a great day
